These terms cover the use of blackpearloysterhouse.com. By using the site you accept them. They are deliberately plain — this is a restaurant website, not a shop, and nothing is sold or paid for here.
About the menus and the cellar
We cook to the day’s catch and the season. Dishes, wines and vintages shown on this site may be unavailable, and the kitchen may change a dish without notice. Nothing on this site is an offer to supply a particular dish or bottle on a particular day.
Prices are not published on this site. The menu card at your table is the current one.
Reservations
Submitting the form sends us a request, not a confirmed booking. A table is only held once we have replied to you directly. We confirm every request personally, and we will say so clearly when we do.
Please let us know if your plans change. We hold a reserved table for about 15 minutes past the booking time before releasing it, and we may ask large groups to confirm by phone.
Allergies and dietary requirements
Please tell your host about any allergy or intolerance when you arrive, every time you visit, rather than relying only on a note typed into the booking form.
Our kitchen handles shellfish, fish, dairy, gluten, nuts, eggs, soya and sesame in a shared space. We take care, and we will tell you honestly what we can and cannot do — but we cannot guarantee that any dish is completely free of a given allergen. The dietary markings on our menu (V, VG, GF) are a guide and are not a guarantee of absence of traces.
What is on this site
We try to keep everything here accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is complete or error-free. Opening hours, menus and availability can change, especially around public holidays — if something matters to your plans, please call ahead and confirm it with us.
Our content
The Black Pearl Oyster House name and logo, the menu and wine-list text, and the photography and design of this site belong to us or are used with permission. Please do not copy or reuse them commercially without asking first. You are very welcome to link to us, and to share our pages on social media.
Links to other sites
Where we link out — to WhatsApp, to Google Maps, to a wine producer — those sites are run by other people under their own terms. We are not responsible for their content.
Liability
We are responsible for the food and service we provide in the restaurant, and nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
For the website itself: we provide it as it is, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for loss arising from relying on information published here, or from the site being unavailable.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Namibia, and the Namibian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
